Holy Trinity Church
Waterhead, Oldham
Our worship style
Our congregation is a welcoming community. The atmosphere is prayerful, supportive and rich in fellowship. We hope
that visitors will find us friendly and welcoming.
The Church has a good-quality sound system.
We recommend that anyone with a hearing aid switches it to the ‘T’
position on entry to the church.
During our worship, our vicar wears albs
and stole which follow the appropriate liturgical colours, and occasionally a
chasuble on special church festivals. Lay participation is well established.
For example, the intercessions, Bible readings, and Eucharistic ministry are each undertaken on a rota. Our two Lay Readers also
preach regularly.
We
serve tea, coffee and soft drinks in the Church Hall after the end of the
service.
Children
are very welcome: the congregation is very tolerant, and fully understands the
problems faced by parents. We invite children to stay with their parents in all services, or to join the crèche
at the back of Church or the Sunday school, which meets in the Church Hall. The
choice is yours.
